Well, for those of you who have been wishing that CoD would just give way to DICE and Battlefield Bad Company 2, it seems your wishes are becoming more true everyday as two more big time people have said goodbye to the top selling franchise. Announced via the two's Linkedin profiles, this time it's Todd Alderman and Francesco Gigliotti. Alderman was at Infinity Ward for 8 years and worked on the original CoD, CoD 2, CoD 4 and Modern Warfare 2. While his profile did not indicate what games he worked on, Gigliotti had been at Infinity War for 7 years. There is no official reason for why they left, but the rumor is that they simply resigned. On a side note, another fine example as to how news doesn't come from PR people anymore. |

I XXIn an article on Kotaku, EA has officially announced the “reinvention” of the Medal of Honor series. The box-art shows stars a Tier 1 Operator. Described as “a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle” according to said announcement. Simply known as Medal of Honor, the new game will let gamers “step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.” The single player game is currently in development at EA Los Angeles, while the multiplayer is being worked on by DICE. Medal of Honor will make it’s official debut at the Spike VGA’s on December 12, and is slated for release in fall of 2010 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I loved this series back in the day, and I hope this will put Activision and CoD in it’s place. |

During an investor call, which happens a lot I guess, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot addressed the company’s upcoming Microsoft Project Natal and Sony’s Motion Wand titles. "We have around ten games that will come out for Natal during the first six months of its release," said Guillemot. "And we expect four to five games for Sony's new motion controller. That's the picture at the moment. It can change in the next twelve months.” He was also asked how many of said games will be based off new or current franchises such as Prince of Persia. "I didn't count the games that are supporting the new functions that those accessories will bring, he said. "I was more speaking about casual games that we are doing on those two machines. We can consider on those games 70 percent new properties." While Natal has no official release date, Microsoft big wigs have hinted at fall 2010 while Sony has said its motion controller will be out this spring.
