I imagine we've all had Tetris games where we swear up and down that there is a Tetris god and he is, in fact, spiting us with horrible pieces.  Well thank the fine folks over at collegehumor.com for this gem.  Apparently they were able to catch the Tetris god on tape!

you know, i have an interesting fact about that. i got my gameboy in 1996. that was my first encounter with tetris seeing as it came with system. i also got a 4-port connection hub, which was cool when i had a lot of friends in middle school that played the pokemon games. anyway, i have a friend of mine who had a copy from when it originally came out for the gameboy in 1989. he has broken 1000 a few times. when i did it actually was 1002, and that's what it said. my buddy said his version from 1989 did in fact freeze at 999. so, in conclusion, i guess, it depends when you got the game. i know that was a bit more deep than you wanted, but it just came to me. oh, another interesting fact...on the tetris game box it actually says "from russia with fun"

I didn't even realize there was a line lock glitch on some of the games. I remember having a 6 hour marathon game on a drive from Missouri to Indiana which I broke 1000 so I guess I ended up with a good cartridge. Best Tetris game out there IMO is The New Tetris on N64.
